Provides tips for increasing self-awareness – the most critical emotional intelligence function – by understanding core motivation and personality style. Topics include how natural gifts can become liabilities if overused, and how assumptions can impact decision-making.

Examples of nine different personality styles illustrate various “world views” that can interfere with the accurate assessment of strengths and weaknesses and other essential leadership capabilities. Practical strategies focus on recognizing and managing situations that trigger undesirable habits and ways to communicate better with individuals with different personality styles.

Selling Like a Pro: Proven Ideas for Generating Leads, Handling Objections, and Closing More Sales
Designed for people with little or no sales experience, this workshop focuses on the difference between marketing and sales, the psychology of sales, and the sales process. It features proven techniques for over-coming fear of cold calling and answering objections, as well as tips for turning no’s into yes’s and thinking like a customer to generate more business. Specific topics include how to turn product features into benefits, using the “80/20” rule, and many more practical ideas.

Stop Managing and Start Coaching Your People for Better Results
This presentation covers basic coaching techniques that managers can use to help colleagues and direct reports become solution-focused and more resourceful. Participants will learn what new research into brain function reveals about getting people to think out of the box, and why fixing problems and giving advice frequently back fire. Topics include giving feedback in a way that encourages development and change, recognizing and diffusing resistance, what to do if things won’t change, and more.

How to Manage Conflict and Build Better Relationships
This workshop is for anyone in need of effective strategies for resolving differences in a way that strengthens business relationships. It examines the four primary causes of conflict, and reveals specific techniques for resolving disagreements and negotiating effectively. Participants will learn the various conflict management styles and the most appropriate circumstances for using each. Includes the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument.
