Training, Consultation and Employee Coaching

Increasingly, organizations are filling the need for skilled, college educated workers by tapping an underutilized labor pool: individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome and similar autism spectrum profiles. Corporations like Ford Motor Company, Freddie Mac, SAP AG and Willis Towers Watson actively recruit employees on the spectrum to enhance their business success.

Forward Motion Coaching offers a variety of training and consulting services to assist with the recruiting and management of employees on the spectrum. Services

  • Leveraging Asperger’s/Autism Strengths in the Workplace training. This half-day program is for human resources and diversity/inclusion personnel as well as hiring managers. The focus is on what Asperger’s Syndrome is and how it impacts adults in the workplace. Content is customized to your needs, and typically includes: how to modify the interview process to accurately evaluate a candidate’s skills … tips for creating a work environment that is conducive to success …  how to structure the workday and clearly communicate expectations … and techniques for addressing communication, executive function and sensory difficulties.
  • Strategies and techniques are illustrated with examples from the presenter’s decade of experience coaching individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome. Includes a workbook with tools, strategies and resources.
  • Customized consultations provide guidance based on your specific needs. Topics can include: improving the performance of a specific employee; on-going mentoring for managers; implementing an employment or internship program.
  • Employee coaching focuses on improving the interpersonal communication skills, organizational abilities, and productivity of an employee. The process includes goal setting, assessment, individualized coaching sessions, progress reports and a future development plan.
